This programme is aimed at students who already an have an in depth knowledge of an area of science and engineering, and who wish to specialise further in the area of mechanical engineering. The programme has a choice of modules enabling students to select a solid mechanics; robotics and automation or thermofluids and combustion pathway.
Core modules: research methods and experimental techniques; research project. Optional modules: computational engineering; mechanics of continua; vehicular crashworthiness; advanced combustion in automotove engines; advanced heat transfer and fluid mechanics; computational fluid dynamics; renewable energy sources; robotics; advanced gas turbines; manufacturing processes.
Course Additional Entry
An undergraduate degree (minimum 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent) in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. IELTS 6.5, or equivalent.
