Course Introduction

This course is aimed towards partly qualified accountants who want to combine their practical experience with further academic training. The course will develop your knowledge to higher levels and is aligned to professional body qualifications. It part'prepares you for undertaking further professional examinations in accounting.

Course Modules

Corporate financial management; research design and methods; governance, risk and ethics; theories and issues in accounting and finance; dissertation. Plus two elective modules from the areas of accounting, finance, banking, law, corporate governance and strategic management.

Course Additional Entry

Applicants are normally students who have completed: At least a 2.2 Honours degree in a relevant subject area (e.g. accounting or finance); or fundamentals Level (Knowledge and Skills) of the ACCA professional examinations; or completion of the Operational and Managerial levels of CIMA examinations; or the equivalent professional accountancy qualifications of an overseas accountancy body. We welcome qualifications from around the world. English language qualifications for international students: IELTS score of 6.5. Entry requirements for MSc Applied Accounting (Fast Track). The Fast track route is available for fully qualified CCAB accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or CIMA). Other accountancy bodies will be considered on an individual basis. Applicants may be required to attend for interview by the Course Director or Admissions Tutor.
