This course contextualises the practice of project management within specific sectors and provides the graduate with the generic skills and competences required to fulfil their business and organisational needs. The practical approach to teaching and learning is enhanced through added 3 distinct pathways of environment, computing and enterprise management and a final dissertation allowing for even further focusing against students' choices career sector. This full'time version is with internship of 6 months duration, with dissertation development.
Modules include: principles of project management; project teams; project strategy; project finance and marketing. Optional modules: commercial management of construction; urban development; information systems project management; consultancy and technological innovation; management of organisational change; strategic innovation management; professional enquiry methods; research in the real world dissertation.
Course Additional Entry
Applicants will need an Honours degree (minimum 2.1) from a recognised UK university or equivalent. Applicants may also be able to gain entry on the strength of equivalent experience and achievement. In this case, Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) or Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) may be possible.International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 6.5 or above, and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components. Pearson PTE Academic at score 58 or above, or an equivalent secure English language test. In some countries where teaching is in English, we may accept local qualifications.
