Course Introduction

The programme will target professional practicing specialists in the oil and gas sector who wish to specialise in the design, analysis and construction of oil and gas installations to further their careers in their current organisations or progress to a specialist oilfield services engineering or consulting organisation.

Course Modules

Modules include: petroleum production fundamentals; applied engineering mathematics; structural materials; structural integrity and FEA; multiphase flow fundamentals and flow assurance; dynamics of petroleum structures; design and construction installations; reliability engineering and risk management; dissertation.

Course Additional Entry

A UK 1st or 2nd Class (2.1) Honours degree, or equivalent or equivalent internationally recognised qualification in relevant branch of engineering or science. Other qualifications and relevant experience will be assessed on an individual basis. English language requirements: IELTS: 6.5 (min 6 in all areas); Pearson: 58 (51 in all subscores); BrunELT: 65 per cent (min 60 per cent in all areas).
