The course provides you with a sound understanding of the principles of marketing and to give you an overview of the marketing planning process.
Modules include: Term 1: marketing strategy and practice; strategy for delivering value; creativity, innovation and design; essentials of accounting and finance; quantitative methods for business. Term 2: customer insight; consumer behaviour; brand management and communication; digital marketing and social media; research design. Term 3: innovation and new product development; business sustainability. Electives: air transport; retail supply chain management; supply chain finance; Islamic finance; ethics, society and the finance sector; mergers and acquisitions; energy markets (taught in a block format in Dubai); project finance and infrastructure (taught in a block format in Madrid); marketing of financial services; operational risk management; consulting skills; customer services and relationship management.
Course Additional Entry
A Bachelors degree. This usually means a UK 2.1 or above, or the equivalent from an overseas institution. The department accepts applications from all academic backgrounds. The required IELTS level is an average of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in writing. For TOEFL the requirement is a well'balanced score of 107 (internet based test)
