Course Introduction

The Medical Physics and Bioengineering MRes provides structured training in this diverse and multi'disciplinary field and students may subsequently progress to an MPhil/PhD as part of a Doctoral Training Programme.

Course Modules

Options include: Ionising radiation physics (interactions and dosimetry); medical imaging; clinical practice; treatment with ionising radiation; medical electronics and control; bioengineering; optics in medicine; computing in medicine; medical devices and applications; foundations and anatomy and scientific computing; image processing; computational modelling in biomedical imaging; programming foundations for medical image analysis; information processing in medical imaging; image'directed analysis and therapy.

Course Additional Entry

A minimum of an upper 2nd Class Honours degree in a relevant discipline from a UK university, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard.
