Course Introduction

This programme allows students to study international law and its application in a broad range of legal areas, including commerce; criminal law; humanitarian law; environmental law; and human rights.

Course Modules

Climate change law and policy; colonialism, empire and international law; foundations of international law; gender, armed conflict and international law; human rights in the developing world; international commercial arbitration; international economic law; international environmental law; international labour law; international laws on the use of force; international protection of human rights; justice, reconciliation and reconstruction in post conflict societies; law and human rights in China; law and natural resources; law and policy of international courts and tribunals; law, human rights and peace'building: the Israeli'Palestinian case; multinational enterprises and the law; the law of armed conflict; world trade organisation law.

Minimum upper 2nd Class Honours degree (or equivalent) in law.
