Course Introduction

This MA creatively balances the close study of particular traditions with a broad understanding of the subject area. It also supports the development of skills needed for effective independent research at masters level and beyond. Modules draw on the team's research expertise and focuses within, and across, a variety of traditions on the key areas of religion and social justice; religion and gender; text and textual interpretation. It is one of the few programmes in London that offers specialised teaching in Islam as well as several different aspects of Christian theology.

The general principles for admission follow those of the University Admissions Policy. Students will normally be required to have a good 2.1 degree or equivalent at undergraduate level in a relevant subject area.
