Offering a global view of the strategic and operational processes that transform inputs into value added finished products and services for end users, this advanced degree will develop the ability to apply global supply chain theories to business contexts. As part of the course, students develop a core understanding of the theories and contemporary issues in global supply chain management, as well as gaining an international perspective and enhancing your management skills to support the key processes of supply chain. Enhanced strategic and critical thinking will support students ability to effectively manage global supply chains and improve existing structures within domestic and international companies.
All students study 2 compulsory 30'credit modules: International business strategy (30 credits); international supply chain management (30 credits). MSc and PgDip students study 4 compulsory 15'credit modules: e'supply chain planning and control (15 credits); international logistics management (15 credits). Choose 2 optional modules from the following; computer assisted optimisation of supply chains (15 credits); lean and sustainable supply chains (15 credits); managing projects (15 credits); financial analysis for international managers (15 credits). MSc students only: global supply chain management project (60 credits)
Course Additional Entry
For the MSc Global Supply Chain Management we welcome applications from graduates with a good Honours degree, or equivalent qualification, in an appropriate subject. We also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications and individuals with a minimum of 3 years' work experience. Those without formal qualifications need to demonstrate relevant work experience and the ability to study at postgraduate level. International Entry Requirements: We accept the equivalent of the above from a recognised overseas qualification. English language requirements: Competence in English language and we normally require grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all four components) or TOEFL internet based 87 (with at least 21 in listening and writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading).
