Course Introduction

The course is designed for students with no prior qualifications in accounting or finance and focuses on accounting techniques and financial tools and their impact on the day'to'day management of operational and corporate affairs. Students develop technical skills needed to interpret and critically evaluate financial statements and apply decision'making skills to complex situations.

Course Modules

Corporate finance; financial management for small business, financial reporting, strategic management accounting; dissertation.

Course Additional Entry

For the MSc Financial Management we normally require a 2nd class Honours degree or above, or an overseas equivalent qualification. We will consider all applications with a non'accounting background ' all essential areas are covered on the course. International Entry Requirements: We accept the equivalent of the above from a recognised overseas qualification. English language requirements: Competence in English language and we normally require grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all 4 components) or TOEFL internet based 87 (with at least 21 in listening & writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading).
