Course Introduction

Our 4'year programme provides students with a strong grounding in international management, specialist knowledge of business and management in Korea and Japan and competence in Korean or Japanese language. Students take courses in accounting, finance, managerial economics, marketing, corporate governance, research methods and international business strategy.

Course Modules

Year 1: Management in Japan and Korea (domestic and international developments); introduction to accounting; understanding company accounts and reports; principles and management of marketing; quantitative and analytical techniques for managers; culture and society in 20th Century Korea; aspects of Japanese culture 1; aspects of Japanese culture 2. Year 2: Corporate finance and financial accounting; managerial accounting; international business strategy; managerial economics; international marketing 1 (the environment); qualitative and case study research. Year 3: Financial strategy; international marketing 2 (global markets); course'independent study project in international management (Japan and Korea); international human resource management; corporate governance.
