Course Introduction

Graduates from this programme are equipped to carry out financial management of construction projects within the industry. Quantity surveyors are involved with cost advice and forecasting at the pre'contract stage of construction projects together with the preparation of tender documents and contractual advice. At the post'contract stage their role becomes that of a cost manager including settlement of final accounts when projects have reached completion. A quantity surveyor, therefore, requires a range of skills in order to provide the technical, legal, economic and managerial services that the construction industry demands.
