Course Introduction

Course Modules

Year 1: introduction to the arts and play therapies; introduction to counselling theory; practice of counselling skills; mind, body and brain (1); social and developmental psychology (1); research methods (1). Year 2: interpersonal neurobiology; the arts on the couch; theory in practice; models of counselling; reflective practice in counselling; personality psychology and abnormal behaviour. Year 3: attachment theory and self'regulation; qualitative research; volunteering experience and personal therapy; psychological assessment for counselling; managing the counselling process.
