Course Introduction

The foundation year will ensure you have the skills and grounding required to advance onto your chosen degree programme. You will be studying in the heart of the interior design industry, surrounded by the latest interiors and influential design agencies. London offers endless inspiration that you can use to research and develop your ideas about design. You will be taught in small classes by experienced tutors who have relevant post'graduate qualifications. Most of our faculty are in industry practice and have worked on projects ranging from the recent redevelopment of Fenwick department store on Bond Street to designing museum exhibitions for children. You will receive high quality teaching and an experience that represents what you will find in the wider industry. Your intellectual and cultural experience will be broadened by memorable talks by great minds from the design industry, as well as enchanced by visits to design studios, such as our recently organised trips to Imagination, Brinkworth and Gensler. There will also be opportunities to work on live projects and competitions, giving you the chance to follow in the footsteps of award winning students. In recent years our award winning students have included: Erica Deam ' Winner of the 'Young Interior Designer Award' and Margarita De Eccher ' Winner of the 'Peverel Competition'.
