Core modules: dissertation; options: medicines for children; women's health; CNS pharmacology and disorders; CNS drugs of abuse; epileptic disorders (research insights and therapy); pharmaceutical analysis and drug discovery; modern aspects of drug discovery; molecular basis of disease; curing cancer (new targets, new drugs, and new problems); biopharmaceuticals; therapeutic uses of plants (benefits and risks); nanomedicines and targeted drug delivery; overcoming biological barriers; intelligent design of medicines; new drug targets in the CNS; anticancer personalised medicines; pharmacogenomics, adverse drug reactions and biomarkers; advanced structure (based drug design); medicinal chemistry.
Course Additional Entry
An upper 2nd Class UK Honours degree or higher in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, the pharmaceutical or physical sciences or related fields, or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard is required.
