Course Introduction

The course offers research training of an equivalent standard to a PhD as well as training in the other core competencies in health psychology. It enables you to develop skills in consultancy, teaching and learning and generic professional skills in health psychology. You also have the opportunity to acquire skills in developing, implementing, evaluating and reporting on interventions.

Course Additional Entry

Applicants require a Graduate basis for chartered membership (GBC) with the British psychological society (BPS); an Honours degree in psychology and have completed an accredited MSc health psychology (60 per cent average or above) or completed the stage 1 qualification for health psychology with the BPS; all successful applicants are interviewed; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 with a minimum score of 6 in all components; or TOEFL (old examination) 630; or TOEFL (new examination) 267 or equivalent.
