Course Modules

Year 1: why people have different personalities; how children develop language; social and intellectual skills; how brain chemistry and structure affect our behaviour; how we learn and remember; emotion; how other people influence our behaviour. Year 2: differences in intelligence; creativity and personality; psychological development across the lifespan; the effect of neurotransmitters and other drugs on the brain; visual perception, decision'making; how we form impressions of others, including stereotyping and prejudice. Year 3 topics include: counselling psychology; abnormal psychology; health psychology and addiction; work psychology; forensic psychology.
