Course Introduction

Computer systems engineers work on everything from games consoles, to car controls, to hospital equipment. Course Modules

Level 1 topics include: programming; logic and mathematical techniques; electronic systems; computer hardware and software architectures. Level 2 topics include: databases; data structures and specialist programming; microprocessors and embedded systems; advanced electronics systems; network operating systems. Options include: professional issues, ethics and computer law; work related learning. Level 3 topics include: project; wireless networks (Cisco); distributed and internet systems; digital systems applications; data aquisition and interfacing. Options include: mobile applications; ethical hacking; network planning and simulation; extension of knowledge module (language).
