Course Introduction

The programme develops skills and understanding around the principles of sustainable building with a view to delivering healthy, comfortable, efficient and environmentally friendly buildings. It also considers how the above issues can be applied when working with existing buildings and takes the technical knowledge gained from working within a commercial world to produce convincing and robust business cases for implementing sustainable solutions.

Course Modules

Modules include: Sustainable building technologies 1; sustainable building technologies 2; managing within a sustainable environment; critical thinking; research methods; risk management; building rehabilitation.

Course Additional Entry

An Honours degree or an equivalent qualification in a built environment discipline such as civil engineering, construction, surveying or architecture. Applicants with other first degrees will be considered on an individual basis.
