Course Introduction

What are the main issues in international relations today? You will address international topics from a variety of subject perspectives, including economics, sociology, international relations, history and politics. You will learn about the processes that give rise to international conflict and the ways in which co'operation is promoted, and explore the impact of globalisation on political, economic and social life. You will also study the role of international organisations in shaping world politics and the global economy and gain an appreciation of how political processes can be studied at all levels ' from the personal to the supranational.
