The course starts with a broad'based introduction and then you will study 2 key approaches: The psychodynamic and the person'centred. You will learn how to apply aspects of theory and practice to helping relationships, in both formal work roles and in informal social and voluntary activities.
Modules include: Introduction to counselling; generic therapeutic competencies (person'centred, psychodynamic and cognitive'behavioural); psychodynamic counselling with counselling skills; group and organisational dynamics with observation and counselling skills.
