Course Introduction

Technological change and the digital economy raise new economic and managerial challenges for businesses and public and private sector organisations. This degree is designed for graduates who wish to develop a thorough understanding of the importance of innovation for rethinking management, business strategy, corporate assets, intellectual property rights, institutions, organisations, firms, entrepreneurship and globalisation in a changing world. The programme is also offered with specialisation in E'Business or International Technology Management .

Course Modules

You complete 8 modules (totalling 120 credits) and write a 12,000'word dissertation (worth 60 credits); you take 5 compulsory modules, and choose 1 module from the list of option modules and 2 from the range of management postgraduate modules (or from other departments, subject to approval). Full'time modules: Entrepreneurship and innovation; innovation systems: Networks and social capital; innovation: management and policy; principles of organisation and management; research methods in management 1.

Course Additional Entry

Normally at least a 2nd Class Honours degree in any subject area from a UK university or a non'UK equivalent. A professional or other qualification obtained by written examinations approved by the College. Relevant experience, supporting statements and references may be taken into consideration, especially in the case of non'standard applications. If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English: IELTS Academic Test score of 6.5, with not less than 6.0 in each of the sub'tests.
