Course Introduction

This programme provides practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds the opportunity to enhance their knowledge, understanding and professional skills for safe and effective public health practice.

Course Modules

Modules include: Principles and theory of public health; health economics and development; public health theory to social action; advanced epidemiology, application and evaluation in practice; evaluating evidence to develop research and inform practice; placement module; dissertation.

Course Additional Entry

A UK Honours degree (or equivalent). In considering an applicant's qualifications, the university's guidelines for flexible entry will be taken into account. English language: Candidates whose normal medium of education and work has not been English, will normally be required to present evidence of competence in English as demonstrated by a pass at IELTS level 6.5 (with no element less than 6.0).
