Course Introduction

This course covers contemporary issues within the criminal process such as homicide investigation, the threat of global organised crime and fraud investigation and research methodology. The course equips students with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this competitive field. During the course, you will study topics such as organised crime, the complex relationship between policing and public perception; key issues in criminal justice policy and the administration of justice. You will also gain an insight into the investigation of homicide; in the UK and internationally; and gain an insight into the techniques used in investigating fraud and money laundering.

Course Modules

Modules include: Contemporary criminal justice issues; counter terrorism policing; investigating financial crime; homicide investigation; organised crime; research methodology; dissertation.

Course Additional Entry

An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification with appropriate content; applicants with extensive work experience are considered on a case by case basis; applicants whose 1st language is not English require either IELTS 6.5 or above including a minimum 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components, TOEFL internet'based test 90 or above, Pearson PTE Academic 58 or above, or an equivalent secure English language test.
