Course Introduction

' Modern syllabus written to meet government and EU coaching standards. ' Work placements with partners such as Fulham FC, Wimbledon Athletics Club, schools and coaching agencies. ' An entrepreneurship module which focuses on the business side of sport coaching.

Course Modules

Year 1: the sport coaching process; sport coaching curriculum; sport coaching pedagogy; thinking and learning in sport coaching; introduction to physiology and fitness assessment; biomechanical analysis of movement. Year 2: applied coaching process; applied lifestyle coaching curriculum; applied sport coaching pedagogy; research methods in sport; applied sport and exercise physiology; applied biomechanics Year 3: advanced coaching principles; analytical work'based reflective practice; entrepreneurship in sport coaching; psychology of coaching; special project.
