University of the Arts London

Course Introduction

Students explore and claim their art practice through acquiring a high level of awareness about the contemporary art world and understanding how their work operates within this territory; their skills are honed through a professional toolkit, with a course curriculum based on the recent Arts Council England's recommendations for skills'sets required for both artists and arts organisations to flourish; they create a web folio instead of a formal academic written paper, which contextualises and showcases their artwork; they learn how to set up websites and use their online presence to profile their work.

Course Additional Entry

Honours degree in either art and design or drawing'related disciplines, including social and other sciences or engineering; study proposal; portfolio of work; details of 2 referees; alternative qualifications and experience will also be taken into consideration; IELTS level 6.5 or above if English is not an applicant's 1st language, with at least 5.5 in reading, writing, listening and speaking (please check our English language requirements).
