Course Introduction

This programme offers the possibility of engagement with the study of cultural tourism in the context of cultural policy and practice and project management in Europe. The programme is designed to enable students to understand, apply and critically evaluate theoretical perspectives, approaches and methods in the study of the changing and diverse relationships between culture, arts, politics and tourism. The course also addresses policy, professional and practitioner concerns and issues in those sectors through a variety of case studies and practical examples at local, national and global dimensions involving a wide range of organisations (governments, international organisations, corporations, NGOs and individuals).
