This course offers graduates of subjects other than nursing the opportunity to gain professional registration as an adult nurse, recognising previous academic and career experience. Students on this course have the opportunity to take part in work placements with NHS Trust partners.
Modules include: Advanced knowledge and skills for nursing practice; caring for the acutely ill patient; caring for the patient with complex care needs; practice learning 3; practice learning 4; working in partnership in healthcare; preparation for professional practice; practice learning 5; practice learning 6.
Course Additional Entry
An Honours degree (2.2 or above) in a health related subject such as health studies, biology, psychology or sociology. Applications from graduates in other disciplines are also welcomed. The university is not able to accept applications from qualified nurses. In according with the requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), students will also need GCSE maths and english at grade C or above (or equivalent).
