This course has 4 specialist pathways, offering a multidisciplinary framework for independent and creative areas of study leading to the creation of an original body of work. Students on this course explore couture and tailoring methods, new uses of technologies to create textile structures, communication strategies promoting fashion to international audiences and setting up fashion labels. The 4 pathways, include fashion design, fashion communication and promotion, fashion textiles, jewellery and accessories.
Modules include: Developing practice; critical debates; body and space; advanced research; major project.
Course Additional Entry
A fashion based degree with a grade of 2.1 or higher. Where a candidate does not possess a degree, knowledge and relevant business experience in the field of fashion. Applicants should have competence in English language and grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. The most common English language requirements for international students are IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all 4 components) or TOEFL internet based 87 (with at least 21 in listening and writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading).
