Course Introduction

Throughout the health and social care setting new roles for Assistant Practitioners are being developed. These roles provide an exciting opportunity for career development. This foundation degree has been specifically designed to enable individuals working in health care settings for long'term conditions to achieve Assistant Practitioner status.

Course Modules

Level 4 focuses on practical, communication and study skills will enable students to become both a safe, knowledgeable practitioner and an independent, curious learner. Level 5 specialises in meeting the needs of individuals with a long'term condition (LTC). The goal of promoting self'management and partnership working underpins this pathway. The emphasis will be on promoting the best health outcomes through engagement, information and education.
