On this programme students train as dance artists, working on their technical skills and artistic development; in addition students learn about the practicalities of planning and delivering projects in community settings, and the networks and agencies that support community dance provision.
Modules include: dance practice; teaching and leading dance; community dance in context; elective study.
Course Additional Entry
Applicants will normally have professional experience, preferably in dance, community or social work; and/or have a 1st degree (or equivalent qualification) in a relevant subject; applicants must show aptitude for dance study at interview and audition; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 7.0 (normally with at least 7 in listening, reading, speaking and writing); TOEFL 600; the Cambridge Advanced Examination (preferably grade A or B); the Cambridge Proficiency (grades A, B or C); the Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English 3; or the Pearson Test of English 67.
