Course Introduction

Geared towards industry and designed to develop your creative, commercial and practical skills, the BA (Hons) Film Practice will get you ready for a range of roles within film production. Learn from industry'insiders, get to grips with the latest kit, explore our specialist facilities and study everything from camera, sound and lighting to acting and screenwriting. This course is taught at London College of Communication, at Elephant and Castle.

Course Modules

Year 1: Development of ideas and application of skills in documentary production; application and development of skills in the field of sound perspective, editing, mixing and constructing a soundtrack for dramatic enhancement; the use of camera and sound on location filming and editing; learning fundamental skills and their application to explore social and cultural development, critical ideas. Year 2: Enhancing student's awareness of industry realities (the workplace); sharpening research and production skills; developing professionalism, guiding them towards a chosen specialism for preparation for the final year. Year 3: Research and development; major project; dissertation.
