Course Introduction

This course is designed for law graduates, practising lawyers and business professionals from anywhere in the world who want to develop a specialist legal and commercial expertise in technology and intellectual property law.The programme covers copyright, trade mark and patent law, along with its European and international aspects, as well as legal questions associated with new technologies, multimedia and cyberspace.

Course Modules

Modules include: Intellectual property in the digital economy; commercial intellectual property law; international commercial arbitration and mediation; international commercial law; research methodology; dissertation.

Course Additional Entry

An undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification with appropriate law content; students with 3 years' legal or relevant commercial work experience may be considered subject to interview; applicants with extensive work experience are considered on a case by case basis; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or above, at a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components, TOEFL internet'based test 90 or above, Pearson PTE Academic 58 or above, or an equivalent secure English language test.
