Course Introduction

The programme is intended for graduates in psychology or related disciplines and aims to equip them with a thorough understanding of cutting edge interdisciplinary cross'cultural research linking genetics with psychology and education; students are introduced to different methods, such as twin studies, cutting'edge molecular genetic methodologies, brain research, experimental psychology, and cognitive psychology (in their application to educationally) relevant investigations, with the ultimate goal of improving learning.

Course Modules

The programme is comprised of core and optional courses: behavioural genetics (15 credits); individual differences and educationally'relevant cross'cultural interdisciplinary investigations (15 credits); statistical methods (60 credits); research project (60 credits); plus 2 optional courses from: twin and family studies; molecular genetics and genomics; genetic, psychological and educational science communication; psychology and education.

Course Additional Entry

A degree in psychology or a related subject (eg cognitive neuroscience, education, genetics) with a research component.
