The course has been specifically designed to give applicants the competence and confidence to lead and manage careers education programmes in schools and colleges.
Modules include: Leading and managing careers education; career theory in action delivering careers education. options: introduction to career guidance practice; professional development and reflection; working in partnership ' community or accessing the world of work: lmi and employability; applying to higher education; research in health and social care.
Course Additional Entry
It would normally be expected that applicants are qualified to at least the equivalent of the Qualifications and Curriculum Framework level 4/5 (equivalent to 1st / 2nd year undergraduate). Applications are also welcome from those without the required qualification who possess the life/work skills that would make them suitable to study at this level. Applicants will need regular access to clients and an educational establishment.
