Course Introduction

Research areas include:aerodynamics and thermodynamics of tunnel networks; aerospace vehicle design; biomedical fluid dynamics; bluff body aerodynamics; computational fluid dynamics and simulation; computational geophysical fluid dynamics; control and optimisation; flow control; marine technology and wave energy; road vehicle aerodynamics; rotorcraft aerodynamics; supersonic/hypersonic aerodynamics and compressible flows; turbulence; wind power generators.

Course Additional Entry

Graduates with (or who expect to gain) a good upper 2nd or 1st Class Honours degree in an engineering, mathematics or physics discipline may be accepted for a PhD.
