Course Introduction

This course encourages an entrepreneurial approach to examining growth opportunities in tourism and hospitality businesses and destinations; it addresses the needs of both the commercial and non'commercial elements of the sector, the latter often requiring public/private partnership forms of governance; the course develops the appropriate skills, tools and knowledge to operate innovatively in the global tourism and hospitality environments.

Course Modules

Modules include: Critical issues in tourism and hospitality; cross'cultural management; city marketing; business strategy and management; marketing and e'distribution; professional leadership; optional work placement; dissertation or extended management project.

Course Additional Entry

2.2 first degree/Bachelor degree equivalent to UK second Class Honours lower division in a relevant discipline or substantial professional experience. Relevant professional experience will also be considered.
