Physics with theoretical physics degree in the heart of London. Offers students a broad knowledge of physics and astrophysics fundamentals including relativity, quantum mechanics, fields and waves, electromagnetism and nuclear physics.

Course Modules

Year 1 examples of modules: Laboratory physics; fields, waves and matter; thermal physics; maths and mechanics; general physics; probability and symmetry. Year 2 examples of modules: Modern physics; electromagnetism; maths; astrophysics; computational lab. Year 3 examples of modules: Statistical mechanics; particle physics; optics; solid state physics; general relativity and cosmology; spectroscopy and quantum mechanics. Year 4 examples of modules: Major project; statistical mechanics; advanced quantum theory; relativistic waves and quantum fields; electromagnetic theory; galaxy and cluster dynamics.
