Year 1: Introduction to human physiology; foundation studies in human nutrition I and II; human anatomy and biomechanics; introduction to human physiology; methods of enquiry; sport and leisure organisations; sport and exercise psychology I; skills acquisition in sport. Year 2: Exercise physiology and nutrition I and II; sport and exercise psychology II; sport and exercise biomechanics; nutrition across the lifespan; nutritional assessment I; physical activity and health promotion; research methods in physical activity. Year 3: Dissertation/project; growth, development and ageing; nutritional assessment II; exercise prescription; exercise and health psychology; sports injuries; applied sports biomechanics; health promotion, food and nutrition policies; fitness assessment and training programmes.
