Course Introduction

The course provides students with knowledge and understanding in the area of mechanical engineering and develops students abilities in subjects such as numerical analysis and signal processing.

Course Modules

Modules include: advanced control; advanced vibration engineering; aircraft engine technology; combustion; computational continuum mechanics; computational fluid dynamics; finite element analysis and applications; fundamentals of fracture mechanics; integrated design and manufacture; interfacing and data processing; mechanical transmission technology; introduction to nuclear engineering; nuclear materials; nuclear reactor physics; polymer processing technology; structure, properties and applications of polymers; tribology; vehicle propulsion technology; welding, joining and adhesives.

Course Additional Entry

A 1st Class Honours degree in engineering or science.
