Course Introduction

The course is designed for students with no prior qualifications in accounting or finance and focuses on accounting techniques and financial tools and' their impact on the day'to'day management of operational and corporate affairs. Students develop technical skills needed to interpret and critically evaluate financial statements and apply decision'making skills to complex situations.

Course Modules

Year 1: academic practice in business; corporate finance; corporate governance and accountability; dissertation; entrepreneurial finance; financial analysis and valuation; financial and management accounting; financial data analysis; key management concepts.

Course Additional Entry

A 2nd Class Honours degree or above, or an overseas equivalent qualification. Applications from candidates with a non'accounting background are considered. Applicants must have competence in English language and grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification. IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all 4 components) or TOEFL internet based 87 (with at least 21 in listening and writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading).
