Course Introduction

The programme enables students to produce distinctive, high'quality documentary productions to an industry standard and to undertake the intellectual study of documentary and film theory.

Course Modules

Modules include: Documentary film: theory and practice; film studies research project; film studies core module; auteur direction; history, fiction, memory in french film; 9/11 and american film.

Course Additional Entry

A 2.1 degree in humanities or creative arts; graduates from a non'humanities are considered but are subject to a written assignment in order to assess their suitability for the programme; all candidates are invited for an interview; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require an English language qualification.
