You will spend your third year in industry, gaining important professional experience for which industrial sponsorship may be available.
Year one: compulsory courses: the construction industry and its management; economics; materials: their use and structural function; computing for the built environment; introduction to the built environment; the production of the built environment; an introduction to management; introduction to law. Year two: compulsory courses: building services engineering I; project management I; law I: quantity surveying and contract procurement; building for a sustainable future; technology studies; economics II; an introduction to marketing. Year 3: Spent in industry. Final year: compulsory courses: building services engineering II; financial management; project management II; dissertation ; project evaluation and development; contract administration and law;organisational management.
