Course Introduction

Course Modules

Year 1: introduction to sport and exercise psychology; introduction to physiology and fitness assessment; biomechanical analysis of movement; good science; career and study skills in the sport sciences; guided study in sport and exercise. Year 2: applied sport and exercise physiology; applied biomechanics; psychology of peak performance; research methods for sport and exercise sciences. Optional modules: work place learning; notational analysis of sport ; applied sport and exercise science; guided study in sport and exercise; nutrition through the lifespan; public health and health promotion. Year 3: dissertation; report; exercise and health; advanced topics in psychology; biomechanics (performance and injury); nutritional and environmental physiology; limitations to performance and training; public health nutrition.
