Course Modules

Year 1: news media; visual culture; media, culture and identity; media and society; from mass media to multimedia. Year 2: research methods for communications and culture; employability for the creative industries. Optional modules: studying popular culture; screening gender; global trends in television; introduction to radio. Year 3: dissertation. Optional modules: work placement; doing visual research in media and culture; madness and metaphor (culture on the edge); popular journalism and tabloid culture; emotions in culture.
