Course Introduction

Research areas include: neurodegeneration (motor neuron disease dementia, parkinsons); epilepsy; and stroke; cognitive function, neuropsychiatry, pain and the imaging of animal models of disease; the department also has an active interest in stem cell research; the techniques employed range from molecular genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, pathology, neurophysiology, epidemiology and therapeutic trials.

Course Additional Entry

Good Honours degree (2.1 or above) from a UK university; or the overseas equivalent. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5.
