At a time of globalisation of business and finance, the ability to communicate in a foreign language can significantly enhance your career prospects. This BSc combines a thorough training in statistics with courses in economics and the study of a foreign language (Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin or Spanish).

Course Modules

Year 1: Probability; statistical methods; mathematics; European language (selected from French, German, Italian or Spanish). Year 2: Topics in statistics (applied probability; inference; linear methods); mathematics; applied economics; European language; options (from statistics, operational research, economics). Year 3: Operational research; actuarial science and econometrics; options (includes European language, project, clinical operational research, stochastic methods in finance, medical statistics, corporate finance, topics in economics, mathematics, computational methods).
