Students focus on the understanding and interplay of fashion theory and media whilst exploring the culture of fashion from both an historic and contemporary viewpoint. Students explore developments within media and communication relevant to the consumption of the fashion process; this part time course enables students to develop a solid grounding in the theoretical and practical issues relevant to the communication and cultural understanding of the fashion debate.
Modules include: Introduction to study in higher education; fashion journalism; introduction to cultural and historical studies; understanding the business of fashion; creative media; cultural and historical studies option; fashion forecasting; fashion styling; creative collaborative project; fashion promotion; research planning for fashion media; fashion media; concept development; fashion media final major project.
