London South Bank University

Course Introduction

The Social Work programme at LSBU is inter'professional, collaborative and participatory. We aim to produce reflective social work practitioners who are ready to practice in the rapidly changing and developing world of social work. Our location in Southwark offers unbeatable opportunities to learn and develop social work skills in inner London. We actively promote service user and carer involvement throughout our course, and were commended for this aspect of our work in our last very successful validation. We are very proud of our student group and of our graduates, and positively welcome students from a wide range of backgrounds and age groups. The course team will work closely with you to foster your development into social workers able to operate within complex multi'disciplinary settings and work with a range of different individuals and groups. Standards are very high, the course is challenging, and students value the opportunity to develop into excellent practitioners.
