Course Introduction

If you are interested in the challenges associated with climate change, development pressures, water resources and environmental pollution, this course is ideal. You will learn to understand, monitor and evaluate the Earth's environmental systems, and predict, manage and respond to environmental challenges on global, regional and local scales.

Course Modules

Year 1: Understanding the environment; Earth environments; economy, environment and development; metals and molecules in the environment; investigating the Earth and environment 1; investigating the Earth and environment; option module. Year 2: Ecology: principles and practice; environmental impact of energy and chemical production; environmental management: tools and methodologies; collection and analysis of environmental data; project design and management; option module. Year 3: Project; achieving a sustainable future; pollution control; land degradation and management; option module.
